StarSkate

Led by NCCP-certified Skate Canada coaches, the STAR 1-5 program is Canada's premier figure skating pathway. It builds the foundation for future success in singles, pairs, dance, and synchronized skating by introducing skaters to all essential figure skating skills. We welcome skaters of all ages, including adaptive skaters who have met the required skill level. All participants must have completed CanSkate Stage 6 or an equivalent to enroll.

Explore Your Skating Adventure!
Our programs are designed to help every skater discover their passion, build confidence, and have a blast on the ice.
Skills
Start your journey here! Skills is where skaters learn all the cool turns, steps, and edge work that make everything else possible. It’s the ultimate foundation for future ice superstars.
Singles (Freeskate)
Love to shine on your own? Singles is your chance to show off jumps, spins, personality, and flair. This is the classic figure skating you see on TV—creative, expressive, and full of wow-factor.
Pairs
Teamwork meets magic! Pairs skating brings two skaters together for lifts, throws, and beautifully synchronized elements. It’s all about trust, timing, and creating something amazing together.
Ice Dance
If you love music and movement, you’ll love ice dance. Inspired by ballroom styles, this discipline focuses on rhythm, expression, and super-smooth footwork set to your favourite songs.
Synchronized Skating
“Synchro” is where skating meets team spirit! Groups of eight or more skaters glide, turn, and weave together in awesome formations—circles, lines, wheels, and more. It’s energetic, fast-paced, and perfect for anyone who loves being part of a team.
Artistic
Let your imagination take over! Artistic skating highlights creativity, musicality, style, and storytelling. It’s all about expressing yourself and making the ice your stage.
