Action, movement and fun! Lessons are given in a group format with a coach/program assistant (PA) -to-student ratio of a maximum 1:10. Skaters progress at their own rate and coaches make sessions active using teaching aids, upbeat music and a wide variety of activities that create a motivational environment and promote learning. Badges, ribbons and other incentives are used to benchmark skaters’ progress and reward effort and participation. The CanSkate program consists of 6 different stages. In these stages are 3 different areas (Agility, Balance and Control). Skaters will receive a ribbon for each area they complete and a badge once all 3 areas have been completed.

As members of the Ag Society, families are required to participate in the following:
  • Membership Fee: $40 per individual OR $80 per family
  • Meetings: Attend 3 Ag Society meetings throughout the season.
  • Volunteer Hours: Complete 3hrs of volunteer work for the A Society if on the ice less then 2hrs OR complete 3hrs volunteer work for the Ag Society if on the ice 2hrs or more per week.

These contributions help maintain the Agri-plex and ensure it continues to serve our community for years to come.
