A Celebration of Skating, Confidence, and Fun
The Delburne Skating Club’s annual Kids’ Skating Carnival brings together our CanSkate, PreStarSkate, and StarSkate athletes for a fun, family-friendly showcase on the ice. This special event is designed to celebrate each skater’s progress in a positive, supportive environment—no competition, just creativity and joy.
CanSkate Performances
Our youngest skaters take the ice to demonstrate the fundamental skills they’ve been working hard to master. The carnival gives CanSkaters the chance to:
-
Show off their balance, control, and basic skating skills
-
Experience performing in front of an audience
-
Build confidence in a fun and encouraging atmosphere
-
Enjoy themed routines, music, and teamwork
The focus is on participation, growth, and having fun.
PreStarSkate Performances
PreStarSkate is the bridge between CanSkate and StarSkate, and the carnival is a perfect opportunity for these developing skaters to shine. PreStarSkaters showcase:
-
Early figure skating elements and improved edge control
-
Introductory spins, turns, and choreography
-
Growing confidence transitioning from group skills to performance routines
-
Creativity and expression through themed music and costumes
This level highlights the exciting progress skaters make as they take their first steps into more advanced figure skating.
StarSkate Showcases
Our StarSkate athletes bring added artistry and skill to the carnival with:
-
Choreographed solo or group routines
-
Musical interpretation and performance quality
-
Advanced edges, turns, spins, and footwork
-
Inspiring younger skaters through leadership and enthusiasm
It’s a great opportunity for StarSkaters to shine while celebrating their growth throughout the season.
A Community Event
Families, friends, and community members are invited to cheer on the skaters and enjoy a memorable afternoon on the ice. The Kids’ Skating Carnival highlights the spirit of the Delburne Skating Club—supportive, welcoming, and dedicated to helping every child discover the joy of skating.
