December 2025 Meeting Minutes

Meeting Called to order at 5:15pm Zoom Call. 

Old Business

We talked about becoming a society again and what steps are being done to become one.
Everyone looked over the bylaws for the skating club and agreed that they look good and we
can move on from that. Haylie attended the AG society meeting to follow up about the new
$400 fee or 5 volunteer hours for all members and it was decided that we will go back in April
to follow up. 

New Business

Carnival theme for the upcoming carnival was talked about, Megan said she will decide on
the theme after seeing registration numbers for the new session Jan-March. 
Our Treasurer requested we bring own the bank account float by $3,000-5,000, so a motion
was made to us $3000.00 of the club's funds to buy carnival supplies we can keep on hand
for the upcoming years. (lights, backdrop, costumes extra). All attendees agreed to this
motion. 

We had discussed in a prior meeting to do carnival photos during a weekday session, but
coach Megan requested we do photos the morning of carnival, so the kids aren’t missing a
skating day for pictures. We all agreed that was a good idea and will go ahead with that.
Nikki said she will get some quotes from local photographers for carnival day pictures. 
It was decided we will do group & individual photos before carnival and the photographer will
also do action shots during carnival. 
Coach Megan also mentioned the skating club buying photos from carnival day to post on
our website/ social media. We all agreed and will be doing that for the upcoming carnival.
